Educator, Author and Lifelong Learner

I am a proud small-town native of Homer, Louisiana, whose journey has been shaped by resilience, faith, and a steadfast dedication to personal growth. After graduating from Homer High School in 2006, I took a bold step toward a brighter future by moving to Dallas, Texas, at the age of nineteen—determined to create a better life for both myself and my daughter.
My academic achievements include a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Education from Lamar University. I am a Certified Teacher, Certified CPR First Aid/AED Instructor, Mental Health & First Aid Responder, and a Registered Trainer for the Texas Early Childhood Professional Development Systems (TECPDS), where I enjoy empowering early childhood educators and directors across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
My journey hasn’t been without challenges, and through these obstacles, I discovered the healing power of writing. I dream of founding an organization dedicated to nurturing young, aspiring writers, to empower urban communities and create entrepreneurial opportunities. My passion for youth literacy led me to boldly launch the Young Inspired Writers Program at Katherine Johnson Technology Magnet Academy in DeSoto, Texas. During the 2022–2023 school year, I proudly guided 18 students to become published authors—and since then, I've helped 20 students publish their books.
Through every triumph and trial, I have learned to trust God’s plan. I channel my life experiences, using them for fuel to inspire, equip, and uplift those around me.
